Our founders were a group of activists, lawyers, and researchers who saw the need for an organization that could provide legal and advocacy support to communities and individuals who were facing threats to their rights and the environment. They were also concerned about the inadequate laws and policies that were in place to address climate change and protect human rights.

To address these challenges, the founders of Earth and Rights Initiative Uganda   came together to form an organization that could provide legal and advocacy support, conduct research and awareness-raising activities, and build the capacity of communities and organizations to take action on climate change and human rights.

We are committed to continuing our work to support the efforts of marginalized communities to defend their rights and protect the environment, and to create a more just and sustainable future for all.
